Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pound beef roast
  • 4 or 5 carrots peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium onion roughly chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Prepare vegetables and put aside. Remove pot roast from package and trim any excess fat.
  2. Season roast on all sides with salt and pepper and put aside
  3. In a large measuring cup or bowl, add cream of mushroom soup, water, Worcestershire sauce and onion soup mix. Mix well.
  4. Layer your ingredients: Add chopped potatoes, carrots and onions. Then rest the beef roast on top of the vegetables.
  5. Pour the cream of mushroom mixture over the roast and cover.
  6. cook on low for 8 hours
  7. When roast is cooked to your liking, place on cutting board and cut into slices and place back into pot. Ladle sauce over meat and serve with biscuits or rice
